Pros: It's a tidy way to keep track of all the assignments, whose in your class, the emails for all the class members, and check for updates on assignments.
The discussion board is nice if you rally people to use it, it can be interesting to have discussions continued outside of class, especially with people you don't have many chances to hear from/talk to otherwise.
Nice to know you have storage space in the Files 2.0.
Easy access to Albert and emails.
Research tab is handy- it makes sense to have ready access to the library reserves.
Cons: Doesn't list all your classes so you can be tricked in the beginning of the semster when you rely on it.
Internal Failure due to high traffic happens too much, they need to expand.
NYU Life and News tabs are nice, however I rarely look at those tabs- maybe they should go somewhere that's more contextually relevant. When I sign into Blackboard I'm in business mode- who wrote, what assignments do I have. I'm not looking to find out about leisurely things.
Albert link is GREAT- it was placed in a smart place. The seach options need ti be expanded so students aren't wasting unecessary time looking for a class.
All in all, I'd use this system with my students.
